Learning Something New Everyday

Am a big believer in lifelong learning so i really enlarged my life recently with a fabulous young man making a name for himself as an amateur Gamer from Jamaica Queens. He and I go back quite a few years as my hub & I spent numerous summers with him at the jersey shore.

Today, he's an aspiring Gamer talking to me about team leadership, collaboration, motivating players and developing strategy. He told me dexterity, teamwork, focus and goal orientation were the name of the game in the world of cybergaming. Sounded like business to me so i listened in to see what i could learn. Seems major league gaming is all the rage for so many passionate young today..traveling from Orlando to Tx to Chicago to Vegas for major league World Cyber Games and intense competition amongst gadget warriors. I got to take a peek at the action. There was definately skill and strategy going on at gamebattles.com but i wasnt sure it was something I was going to catch on to soon. At first blush, it looked like a lot of loud violence, but my favorite gamer helped me go deeper in appreciation of the skillset involved.

 I'm just glad I'm friends with a talented Gamer that brings his Xbox Gaming Gadetry to the suburbs for our occasional enlightenment. I'm adding Modern Warfare Gaming  to my list of things to learn more about!
