Had the pleasure of helping kick off the 2010 Kaboom! fireworks seasonal extravaganza at the beautiful Count Basie Theatre tonite as Mrs Red BankUS 2010. The event celebrates all things RedBank like Kaboomfest, Rock the River concert, the sizzling Santore family and all supporting sponsors that collaborate to create one of the biggest fireworks shows in the nation. Kick in for Kaboom! spotlights our chance to support this great family entertainment venue as all funds are derived from private donations(from viewers like you!). As a kid that grew up watching fireworks in Red Bank every year, I was lucky to chat it up with Chris Santore backstage tonite. I was interested to learn that the three brothers were attorney, paralegal and teacher with a penchant for fireworks as four generation family businessowners...
I mean, who wouldnt ditch a traditional day job for the love of mixing pyrotechnics and magical music to entertain hundreds of thousands from the banks of rockin Red Bank? Hard to believe over 30,000 aerial and ground shells are the product of several hundred man hours of creative production for the most spectacular celebration of patriotism and community in the Garden State!
